At tonight’s E3 press conference, Bethesda teased that a sequel to 2014’s Wolfenstein: The New Order will be coming at some point.
The game was teased during the trailer for Quake Champions right at the start when you see a list of previously released Bethesda games ranging from Wolfenstein to Doom, right before Doom and right after Wolfenstein some eagle-eyed fans noticed that there was a game titled "New Colossus" with a bunch of X's where the release date should be. No other details were given but we may hear about it at Quakecon this summer or next E3.
Wolfenstein: The New Order was loved by fans of the long running series that spawned the FPS genre and took gaming to another level. The 2014 shooter was a refreshing change of pace for FPS games with riveting gameplay set in an alternate World War 2 timeline where the Nazis had won the war. Bethesda also released a digital game that puts BJ in a supernatural world with zombies and other horrific creatures.
Bethesda revived the Doom series with a new entry in the series that spawned a cultural phenomenon in the 90’s. The game met wide critical acclaim for its fast-paced gameplay and non-traditional methods of telling a story in its campaign.
