It's seriously been 14 years since we first saw Beyond Good & Evil and finally, Ubisoft did it. They brought it back with a gritty, fun, character-filled trailer. And this is all despite claims that the game would not make it to E3 2017.
Oddly enough, the trailer doesn't seem to feature Jade or Payge, but it does have a rascally band of anthropomorphic space pirates, and what more could you ask for?
It turns out to be a prequel of the first Beyond Good & Evil where it turns out the animal hybrids are actually created by humans. The game has players running around the galaxy in massive spaceships just as big and chunky as the original. It's monkey punks in space!
The developers went on the invite players to join their Space Monkey Program to help the crew build the game the way they imagined. The link to the program can be found here.
At the time of writing this, however, the site was down (everyone is excited about the 14-year comeback) So we've attached a screenshot on the following page.
We also found their Trailer breakdown where Michel Ancel talks about the emotional journey of Beyond Good & Evil where he describes in detail what's going on through the trailer itself. Check it out.
We don't have a release date, but this game is definitely happening, and we here at GameZone couldn't be more excited.
