E3 2017: FIFA 18 Icons list potentially leaked

A potentially leaked list of FIFA 18's Icon cards has surfaced on social media, with some very familiar faces taking centre stage.

Some of the most exciting football talents of yester-year have appeared on the unconfirmed graphic, following a shake-up from EA Sports that will see Ultimate Team abandon the Legends cards that are usually exclusive to Microsoft's Xbox One console, but rather introducing Icon cards that will be available for all platforms.

The following tweet suggests Brazilian ace Ronaldinho – famous for his successful spell at Barcelona where he won the Balon D'Or during his time with the Catalan giants – will make his return to the franchise, among other tremendously successful goal scorers such as Raul and Diego Maradona.

Several former Premier League (or Premiership, for those that can remember the old name!) stars also look set to be inducted into FIFA's library of Icons.

Two former England captains – Steven Gerrard and David Beckham – are rumoured to be revealed as part of FIFA Ultimate Team's Icon collection for the new title, as well as former Chelsea midfielders Claude Makelele and Michael Ballack.

The addition of Thierry Henry would be an exciting one for those that own his card, but not one for opposing defensive lines, however. We can only imagine what his acceleration statistics are going to look like, but one thing is for sure – you wouldn't want Per Mertesacker lining up against it!

There were a number of leaks before and after last year's EA Play event, however the graphic and its contents, as seen above, has not been officially confirmed by EA Sports as of yet.
