In 2013, a "walking simulator" by the name of Gone Home came out and became a massive talking point. It put gameplay aside and focused on a very emotional, engaging story told through "collectibles". It was very innovative for the game it was trying to be and won many game of the year awards.
A year or so after it released, developer Fullbright moved on to their next game, Tacoma, an exploration game set in a space station. The player must figure out where the other members of the space station have disappeared to using notes and voice recordings, similar to Gone Home. Will the twist be that the space members all fell in love with each other and ran away to another planet? Who knows!
Luckily, we won't have to wait too long to find out. The game is finally coming out on August 2nd on Xbox One and PC. You can check out a new trailer down below.
