E3 2017: Ubisoft and Nintendo announce Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle; Coming this August

Yeah, we knew it was going to happen but it's official! The Mario/Rabbids cross-over is real! The popular Ubisoft property will cross-over with the most iconic characters in gaming with Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle.

The game has been in development for three years and it's a tactical adventure for Nintendo Switch. The Rabbids were teleported into the Mushroom Kingdom and it made things a bit "chaotic" but Mario is keen to make things right!

The game will be similar to X-Com and will have tactical turn-based movement which allows you to take cover, flank, and use strategic moves to take down enemies. Mario + Rabbids feature a number of unique mechanics like pipes you can move through to flank enemies, team based moves, and character based weapons. It should be noted that this isn't Mario versus Rabbids, the two universes will team up to take on the more chaotic Rabbids who need to be stopped!

The title can be played in solo OR co-op and it'll be out exclusively on Nintendo Switch on August 29th. If you pre-order, you'll gain access to 8 new unique weapons.
