E3 2017: Xbox One X pre-orders will open up “later in the year”

Today, Microsoft lifted the curtain on the Xbox One X, a significantly more powerful Xbox One that boasts native 4K, better performances, load times, and more. After showcasing how impressive the tech is, people obviously wanted to pre-order it!

Sadly, it sounds as if pre-orders for the $500 console will not be made available until a later date. On an IGN livestream (via Wario64), Microsoft's Albert Penello revealed that the console will not have pre-order until an unspecified date in the future.

Additionally, an official Xbox page notes that the console will not go on sale until FCC approval is obtained.

Xbox One X will release on November 7th and will cost $499.99. It's unclear how long it'll be until pre-orders open up.
