E3 2018: Bethesda officially announces The Elder Scrolls VI as a next-gen game

It's happening!

Skyrim was easily one of the biggest games of last generation, it set a new high for RPGs and was the high bar until The Witcher 3 came along. Following Fallout 4, we’ve all been wondering when we can get our hands on The Elder Scrolls VI and well, it’s going to be a very long time.

Todd Howard officially announced The Elder Scrolls VI following a big blowout for Fallout 76 and announcing the first next-gen game yet, Starfield, a heavily rumored sci-fi game from Bethesda Game Studios. The Elder Scrolls VI will not release until AFTER Starfield meaning it’s definitely a next-gen game and you won’t see it for probably 3 – 5 years minimum.

With that said, it’s nice to know it’s happening for real, despite the fact it’s only in pre-production! You can get the smallest taste of the world Bethesda is building in TES VI with this brief teaser below.

The Elder Scrolls VI will release… eventually.
