E3 2018: Capcom shows first trailer for Resident Evil 2 Remake

It feels like it’s been decades since Capcom announced Resident Evil 2 Remake butt that’s because they announced it before they really started working on it. Since then, we’ve been treated to Resident Evil VII and we’ve all been thinking about how great Resident Evil 2 could look… and it looks damn good.

On January 25th, 2019, we’ll all get to revisit Raccoon City on the verge of its collapse as Leon Kennedy in Resident Evil 2 Remake. We all know what it’s about but if you need a brief recap, Racoon City has been caught up in the zombie outbreak and you gotta get the hell out of there before the government drops bombs on the city.

Here’s the official description from Capcom:

“The genre-defining masterpiece Resident Evil 2 returns, completely re-built from the ground up for a deeper narrative experience. In Resident Evil 2, the classic action, tense exploration, and puzzle solving gameplay that defined the Resident Evil series returns. Players join rookie police officer Leon Kennedy and college student Claire Redfield, who are thrust together by a disastrous outbreak in Raccoon City that transformed its population into deadly zombies. Both Leon and Claire have their own separate playable campaigns, allowing players to see the story from both characters’ perspectives. The fate of these two fan favorite characters is in players hands as they work together to survive and get to the bottom of what is behind the terrifying attack on the city.
