E3 2018: Sony showcases final Spider-Man E3 demo before launch

Only three more months!

In 2016, Sony revealed a brand new Spider-Man developed by Insomniac Games, exclusive to PlayStation 4. It caught everyone off-guard but with the talent behind it, it was sure to be better than the movie tie-in games we’ve been getting for over a decade.

We’ve all been very anxious to play and over the last two years, Sony has teased us with new information, screenshots, beautiful gameplay videos, and so much more. Now, we’re just three months away from release and at the game’s final E3 and we just got the best look at Spider-Man yet.

A breakout has occurred on ‘The Raft’, a high-security prison holding the toughest supervillains in the world and Spider-Man must swoop in and try to get everyone back in their cells. Of course, it’s not that easy given they’re the worst of the worst and they all have an avid hatred for the web-head.

Throughout the demo, Spider-Man crosses paths with the likes of Electro, Scorpion, Rhino, Vulture, and Mister Negative. As the prison begins to essentially crumble, Spider-Man is thrown into some hairy scenarios where he showcases his great agility, incredible powers, and expert fighting skills. Sadly, it doesn’t appear to be enough to match the strength of his greatest foes as they end up getting the best of him by the end of the demo, leaving us all on a cliffhanger until we play the game in September.

You can view the demo at the top of the page.

Spider-Man will release exclusively on PlayStation 4 on September 7th, 2018.
