E3 2018: Square Enix reveals 2 new games, Babylon’s Fall & The Quiet Man

It was Square-Enix’s turn today at E3 2018 and the Japanese publisher did have more up their sleeves than trailers for already announced games. In fact, two new titles were revealed during their E3 Showcase Presentation. Babylon’s Fall and The Quiet Man. Both games are going to come out on PS4 and PC. No exact release dates were given.

The first new game we got a very short look at, was Babylon’s Fall. The teaser trailer did not show any gameplay sadly, nor did it tell us what the game is going to be about. We got an idea about the setting when fantastical pseudo-timelines were shown and of course two warriors going at each other at the end. We can assume melee combat will be  focus but magical attacks were also seen. What really made us excited about Babylon’s Fall however is the developer. Platinum Games is making this game and with their track-record for high-octane action games, we can’t wait to get our hands on the title when it hopefully releases in its slated 2019 date.

The second new IP Square Enix unveiled today, was The Quiet Man developed by Human Head Studios. Once more, we only got a short teaser but it looks like all actual gameplay footage. In stark contrast to Babylon’s Fall, The Quiet Man looks like a rather realistic action brawler game, set in contemporary New York. On the game’s storepage on Steam, we learn that The Quiet Man is going to be an immersive story driven cinematic action experience seamlessly blending high-production live action, realistic CG and pulse-pounding action gameplay. Sadly, no release date was given but viewers were directed towards coming August for more info.

We’ll be there to report once more details on Babylon’s Fall and The Quiet Man emerge, so make sure to follow us. In the mean time, check out both reveal trailers!
