E3 2018: Xbox announces new Halo game, Halo Infinite

Xbox opened their E3 2018 press briefing with a brand new look at a Halo game that is seemingly not Halo 6 but something else that Xbox doesn’t want to elaborate on for some reason.

The game, simply titled Halo Infinite, was dubbed by Phil Spencer as Master Chief’s greatest adventure yet. We have absolutely no clue what this game is but based on what we were shown in the in-engine trailer, it appears to have a large scale with maybe online functionality and open world elements. You can view the vague trailer below along with the official description provided by Microsoft.

“The Master Chief returns in Halo Infinite – the next chapter of the legendary franchise. Developed by 343 Industries and created with our new Slipspace Engine, Halo Infinite was revealed at the Xbox E3 2018 Briefing with a thrilling engine demo that provides a glimpse into the future of the Halo franchise, leading it into new and unexpected directions.”

We’ll be sure to keep you updated on whatever else we learn about Halo Infinite as news breaks.
