E3 2019: Arkane announces Groundhog Day-esque game, Deathloop

Remember the Bill Murray movie Groundhog Day? Remember the Bruce Willis movie Looper? Imagine if they put those two movies into one game made by the minds of Dishonored and called it Deathloop.

Arkane is back with a new game and no, it’s not Dishonored 3 but it looks to play with similar systems from that series. Using the immaculate level design Arkane is known for, players will immerse themselves in the shoes of two assassins who are forced to kill, kill, kill to end the “deathloop” they are stuck in.

You can view the trailer and official description for Deathloop below.

““DEATHLOOP” transports players to the lawless island of Blackreef in an eternal struggle between two extraordinary assassins. Explore stunning environments and meticulously designed levels in an immersive gameplay experience that lets you approach every situation any way you like. Hunt down targets all over the island in an effort to put an end to the cycle once and for all, and remember, if at first you don’t succeed… die, die again.”

Deathloop has no release date.
