The sequel to Techland’s popular open-world zombie action-adventure from 2015, Dying Light 2, now has a release date with 2020. During the Xbox E3 show, viewers also got to enjoy a brand new trailer. Check it out!
The original Dying Light landed a long four years ago and immediately became a smash hit. Despite zombies being a truly well-known enemy in gaming for decades, it seems the setting is simply a true evergreen among gamers. It sure did help that after middling open-world zombie games like Dead Island, Dying Light truly felt like an old idea finally realized to its fullest potential.
Dying Light 2 is the highly anticipated sequel to the award-winning open world survival horror action game. You play as Aiden, a new hero in a world torn apart by the ravages of the infection, where every decision counts and death lurks around each corner.
So, it was a real pleasure last year during E3 when Techland finally unveiled a real sequel to their zombie hit with Dying Light 2. The good news didn’t stop there however, as industry heavyweight and all around legendary game writer and director Chris Avellone was going to be on board. A very welcoming addition since Dying Light was an immensely fun game but was kind of lacking on the narrative portion.
Dying Light 2 is planned to come out Spring 2020 for the PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
