E3 2019: First look at Tifa in new Final Fantasy 7 Remake trailer

Square Enix has released a new trailer for their Final Fantasy 7 Remake. The new video boasts with brand-new gameplay footage and shows us party member Tifa for the first time in her enhanced new design. Check it out!

Not much longer until Final Fantasy 7 Remake leaves the realms of fantasy among gamers and finally becomes playable when it released next year in March. For now, Square Enix is only stating the PlayStation 4 as a release platform, not unlike the original game from the mid 1990s which was a PS1 exclusive. But if we were to guess, it would make sense that at best FF7 Remake will stay exclusive on the PS4 for only a limited time before it reaches unto other platforms.

The world has fallen under the control of the Shinra Electric Power Company, a shadowy corporation controlling the planet’s very life force as mako energy. In the sprawling city of Midgar, an anti-Shinra organization calling themselves Avalanche have stepped up their resistance. Cloud Strife, a former member of Shinra’s elite SOLDIER unit now turned mercenary, lends his aid to the group, unaware of the epic consequences that await him. A spectacular reimagining of one of the most visionary games ever, the first game in this project will be set in the eclectic city of Midgar and presents a fully standalone gaming experience.

From what we’ve seen so far, Square Enix is ticking all the right boxes when it comes to keeping true to the original vision of their cult JPRG, all the while improving the somewhat dated and passive gameplay mechanics and vastly improving the presentation up to modern standards. Case in point, Tifa. The fighting power lady is presented in gorgeous detail in the remake but her overall design is a true love letter to the original.
