E3 2019: Square Enix’s Marvel’s Avenger E3 Trailer

Gone in the movies, Here in the game

Square Enix finally unveiled their highly-anticipated Avengers game during their E3 press show last night. Dubbed simply Marvel’s Avengers, the action-adventure set in the mega-popular Marvel universe will arrive next year, on May 15 for the PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Google Stadia. Check out the epic first trailer below!

It would be an understatement to say that The Avengers are currently the world’s most popular IP. With the recent epic conclusion to the ten-year spanning saga of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, it’s quite frankly stunning that on the gaming front, fans of our favorite superheroes have been left in the dust, with only the PS4 exclusive Spider-Man game fulfilling their desires. But a single game which on top is exclusive on one platform is hardly ideal.

Que Marvel’s Avengers. The long-rumoured game adaption of not one hero but the entire cast of the Avengers. Well, sort of since for now we only get to see the small core of the hero team with Captain America, Iron Man, Hulk, Thor and Black Widow.

Finally getting to see Square Enix’ Avengers game was worth the wait however, as we are greeted with actual game footage. Even if it is presented in a cinematic way, it’s still leaps and bounds above CG trailers. This first trailer shows viewers the setup of the action-adventure game which takes place in San Francisco. During a celebratory event where the Avengers unveil their new headquarters, a catastrophic accident aboard their new helicarrier leads to the disbanding of the superhero team. Five years later, the world is in shambles. The Avengers are blamed of the tragic accident but a new threat will force them to overcome the tragedy and once again fight as a team and save the day.

For more details about more characters and story details, we’ll have to wait until May 15 when Marvel’s Avengers releases.
