E3 2019: The Outer Worlds releasing this October

Xbox kicked off their E3 presser with a brand new trailer for Obsidian’s The Outer Worlds.

Although Microsoft owns Obsidian now, The Outer Worlds was in development before the acquisition so it’ll be on PS4 as well as Xbox and PC. However, Xbox players will have a huge advantage over PS4 players with the ability to play The Outer Worlds at launch with Xbox Game Pass.

You can view the new trailer below.

For those out of the loop, The Outer Worlds is an RPG in the same vein of Fallout. Various megacorporations have taken over in an effort to colonize alien planets, one ship crash lands on a planet on the edge of colony space with the player awakening on it. A mystery awaits you as you travel around the planet and encounter exotic locales and species.

The Outer Worlds will release on October 25th, 2019 for Xbox One, PS4, and PC. Again, you can play The Outer Worlds at launch with Xbox Game Pass.
