EA Access adds the classic OG Xbox FPS, Black to its Vault

"Gun porn" makes a return.

EA Access is quietly one of the best values in gaming, provided you are the patient type when it comes to spending money on games. The service has gradually grown since it launched back in August of 2014, and with the addition of OG Xbox games to the Xbox One Backwards Compatibility initiative, the potential of its catalog has never been higher.

For the first time ever, EA has added an OG Xbox game, the sleek and intense First-Person Shooter, Black. Here’s the announcement they made on Twitter.

Black originally released on the Xbox and PlayStation 2 back in 2006 and was considered to be a technical marvel at the time. Its goal was “to do for shooters what Burnout did for racing games,” by making the guns the star of the show and allowing players to destroy anything and everything in their path. Black was at many times lovingly referred to as “gun porn,” and the final product certainly held up in that regard.

While it may not be remembered as an all-time great, it’s worth checking out on its own merits if you are an EA Access subscriber.

EA Access subscriptions cost either $5 a month or $30 a year and give you early access to timed trials of new games before they release to the public.
