EA Access could bring Xbox 360 games to Xbox One via backwards compatibility

Hello, Dragon Age: Origins...

The Xbox One will be getting backwards compatibility on the Xbox One this November, but don't expect to see games all the games you love. Which games will be available when the feature launches depends entirely on the game's publisher.

Microsoft's popular in-house developed and published games are basically a given, but what about games from publishers like EA? It turns out that EA isn't against making their games backwards compatible (hence the original Mass Effect coming to Xbox One through the feature) or even bringing them to EA Access.

The truth is, EA knows they can't miss out on this golden opportunity that Microsoft is offering them. Seeing games like Dragon Age: Origins (I've owned it on every platform I could) pop up on my Xbox One wouldn't be so bad! Plus, EA Access offers 10% off of digital EA games on the Xbox One, the ability to play EA games before they release and access to games like Battlefield 4, FIFA 15, Madden NFL 15, and Need for Speed Rivals — without even having to purchase the games.

If you have an Xbox One and don't mind feeding into the corporate monster that is EA… It's not a bad deal.

Swiggity Swooty

(That's EA coming for your wallet — the wallet is 'that booty')
