EA details Star Wars Battlefront plans for Star Wars Celebration

An official reveal trailer during panel AND behind-closed-doors look at gameplay

Earlier this month, it was announced that the new Star Wars Battlefront from DICE would be making its highly anticipated debut at Star Wars Celebration 2015 in April. At the time, though, we didn't know exactly what Electronic Arts has planned. That changed today as EA shed more light on their plans for the game's eagerly awaited debut next month.

EA will be hosting a panel at Celebration on April 17 where they will debut the official reveal trailer for Star Wars Battlefront. The panel starts at 10:30am PT, so you'll want to get there early to secure a seat. There was no mention of a livestream, but EA urged fans unable to make the convention to tune in to the official EA Star Wars channels and website during the show to see the official reveal trailer and learn more about the highly anticipated game.

In addition to the trailer, EA will also be showing off gameplay behind closed doors during the show at the official booth. The publisher also teased "a few other activities" starting that Friday, April 17th.

Star Wars Celebration 2015 will be held at the Anaheim Convention Center in California from April 16 through April 19. Last week it was confirmed that Star Wars: Battlefront will be coming this holiday season to PS4, Xbox One, and PC. Its launch will coincide with release of the new film, Star Wars: Episode VII The Force Awakens, which will hit theaters December 18, 2015.
