Electronic Arts has to be smiling after today's reports show four of the publisher's titles in the top four spots for the latest UK software sales charts.
FIFA Street, Mass Effect 3, SSX, and FIFA 12 have claimed the top four spots for the week ending March 17, 2012. The last time they've achieved this feat was back in weeks 48 and 49 in 2003 (with FIFA 2004, Lord of the Rings: Return of the King, Medal of Honor: Rising Sun and Need for Speed: Underground).
Newly released FIFA Street is the third new release in a row from EA to debut at the number one spot. The FIFA Street reboot, which last debuted over four years ago with FIFA Street 3, has outperformed all other FIFA Street's opening week's sales.
Mass Effect 3, last week's number one, slipped to number two with sales dropping 74% in its second week. Despite the game's successful sales, fan response to the game, particularly the ending, has been down right ugly.
SSX also dropped a spot to place third. FIFA 12 remained at number four, followed by Mario Party 9 which rounded out the top 5.
