EA locks in its Gamescom 2015 conference date

EA will host its Gamescom 2015 press conference Wednesday, August 5, 2015 at 9:30 a.m. in the event’s home of Cologne, Germany, according to an email invitation posted to NeoGAF. That’s 12:30 a.m. Pacific / 3:30 a.m. Eastern for stateside viewers hoping to catch the livestream.

Check-in for EA’s conference will begin at 8 a.m., with doors opening at 9 a.m. Hall 6, booth C-60 is the place to be for whatever EA has in store. The publisher has been tight-lipped on what it’s bringing to Gamescom this year, though Star Wars Battlefront is nothing short of a shoo-in.

Other studios have been more vocal about their Gamescom 2015 plans. Bandai Namco, for instance, recently revealed that Dark Souls 3 and Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 will take center stage at their showing. Microsoft is bringing some E3 spill-over, including Scalebound, Quantum Break and Crackdown, as well as “new game reveals for both Xbox One and Windows 10.” In addition, Konami will put Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain in public hands for the first time at the event.
