EA renames its Swedish Need for Speed studio ‘Ghost’

EA formed a new studio in Gothenburg, Sweden earlier this year to focus on Need for Speed titles. The branch is now called Ghost.

Ghost has a new website, which went live yesterday with a fresh logo and 16 job openings. Right now, the site mainly provides information relevant to job seekers — life at Ghost and in Gothenburg — so it lists no details about any upcoming projects. But we do know the the studio plans on using the Frostbite 2 engine.

Criterion Games took over the entire Need for Speed franchise in June, and the company released its second entry in the series, Most Wanted, at the end of October. It's available for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, PlayStation Vita, PC, iOS, Android, and Kindle Fire tablets.
