EA reportedly signs three-year, non-exclusive deal with CLC to continue college football games

Electronic Arts has already stated that it will continue to develop and publish college football games, despite the NCAA's decision to not renew its contract with EA Sports. That statement was bolstered by a report from Joystiq which claims the publisher/developer agreed to an extension with the Collegiate Licensing Company (CLC).

Although the NCAA is the most recognized collegiate association, the CLC is actually the entity that handles trademark licensing and marketing services for universities. A source "familiar with the agreement" said that EA's current licensing extension with the CLC is for three years starting on July 1, 2014 and is for a non-exclusive college football game, which means another  publisher could attempt to jump into the fray of college football.

So really, the NCAA's decision not to renew the contract has little effect on EA Sports college football series, aside from the name. But does anyone really care about the name? I doubt anyone will notice the difference between NCAA Football 15 and EA's College Football 15.
