EA’s mobile digital revenue sees 30% year-over-year increase in Q1 FY14

Electronics Arts reported $103 million in mobile and handheld digital revenue for the first quarter of fiscal 2014, a 30% year-over-year increase in digital net revenue.

Getting into specifics, EA noted that The Simpsons: Tapped Out, the company's free-to-play city building game, recorded its highest revenue since launching in August 2012. Real Racing 3, the number one racing title on iOS, has generated more than 45 million downloads, and has averaged over two million daily active users since launching in March.

EA's successful mobile division helped the company generate $495 million in non-GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) net revenue for the entire quarter, stretching from April 1, 2013 through June 30, 2013.
