So Star Wars Celebration kicks off today, and while we'll have to wait until tomorrow for EA's highly anticipated panel in which they'll officially debut Star Wars Battlefront, an inside sneak peek at the show floor reveals the publisher's massive booth at the weekend-long event.
Posted to Reddit by "MAN_OF_STEEL13" (coincidentally, a new Batman v Superman teaser was released today), the photo reveals what looks to be fairly large booth with a massive backdrop.
Clearly, there's a lot going on in the picture. The battle looks to be taking place on some sort of magma/volcano planet. You have a silhouetted man standing on a rock greeting a slew of AT-ATs and AT-STs. In the atmosphere, there are X-Wings engaging in a space battle with Tie Fighters and Star Destroyers. It looks like pure mayhem, and it could indicate large-scale battles in Star Wars Battlefront featuring vehicle gameplay. If the artwork is any indication of the gameplay, I'd say we can expect something more along the lines of a reskinned Battlefield 4, rather than your traditional Battlefront game.
Aside from teasing the game with artwork, EA's booth promises a behind-the-scenes look at actual gameplay from Star Wars Battlefront. While the panel, with the expected trailer, will be livestreamed online, it's unclear if EA will publish any gameplay clips online. Either way, I'm sure you'll be hearing all the fan reaction on social media.
