If there was any indication of how excited fans are for Star Wars Battlefront, it would be the 9.5 million players that participated in the recent open beta across PS4, Xbox One, and PC. EA took to the Star Wars Battlefront blog to share some impressive stats for the beta, which was the biggest in company history.
According to the infographic, 1.6 billion minutes were played which equates to watching the original trilogy 4.2 million times. Of course, nobody watches the prequel trilogy.
Getting a bit more specific, EA revealed that Darth Vader, one of the game's powerful villains, was spawned 5,938,148. That's just slightly higher than the 5,904,806 times Luke Skywalker was spawned by the Rebels. Vader also force choked over 1.3 million players.
"Our team is working to getStar Wars Battlefront ready for launch, and we look forward to sharing updates coming out of the Beta soon," community manager Mathew Everett wrote. One thing DICE has already learned and agreed on from the beta is that Walker Assault is just a tad bit unbalanced in favor of the Empire.
