Earlier this week, EA Sports began revealing certain NFL players' overalls in Madden 16. They started with the running back position, with Marshawn Lynch revealed as the best back in the game with 96 overall, 99 Stiff Arm, and 98 Trucking. Pretty impressive ratings, if you ask me. But not everyone is pleased with Beast Mode's ratings.
The Seattle Seahawks official Twitter account messaged EA Sports about Lynch's Trucking, asking "What's a Beast got to do to get a 99 TRUCKING?"
C'mon @EAMaddenNFL! What's a Beast got to do to get a 99 TRUCKING? [http://t.co/fxhgqQcdYX] #Madden16 pic.twitter.com/MWB3dYuPZ8

And EA's response was simply perfect.
Ouch. That's a bitter pill to swallow, even six months after the fact. Of course, the play they are referring to was Pete Carroll's decision to throw the ball on 2-and-1 on the one-yard line instead of handing it off the arguably the best running back in the league. As the story goes, Russell Wilson's pass was intercepted and the Seahawks went on to lose Super Bowl XLIV.
Let this be a lesson to all current players and teams who want to quibble over a few measly rating points in Madden.
