EA: Star Wars Battlefront ‘coming along, very, very well’

About a year ago at E3 2013, Electronic Arts revealed that it hard a new Battlefront game in the works. Fast forward almost a year and there's still very little known about the highly anticipated game currently in development at DICE. That's going to change in about a month as the publisher has confirmed plans "to show more" about it.

For now though, EA's Chief Executive Officer Andrew Wilson has best described the game as "coming along, every, very well."

"Frostbite 3 and the associated development tool set that comes with that has met the team has been able to iterate and drive innovation very quickly and get to a high quality quickly and certainly," he said. "There’s lots and lots of work to go."

"But we do plan to show more about and other new projects in development at E3 this year," Wilson added.

A new Battlefront is just one of the Star Wars titles currently being developed under EA which acquired publishing rights in a multi-year agreement with Disney. Other Star Wars games are also in development at EA-owned studios Visceral Games and BioWare, but they've yet to be announced. Hopefully we get to see some of them at E3 next month. Earlier in the call, Wilson said that EA expects to show as many as six new titles at this year's show.
