Just because Microsoft's Xbox One is getting all the sweet EA deals — like Titanfall, FIFA 14 Ultimate Team, and BF4 DLC first — doesn't mean Sony will forever be left out in the cold.
"It's a long cycle," EA Labels president Frank Gibeau said, "and certainly there's potential with Sony exclusivity deals too."
While it's entirely possible Sony won't get exclusives from EA, it's nice to hear that. A part of me honestly believes all of these Xbox One exclusives are just for the hype of a launch. Give it one or two years and the landscape could be totally different.
"Sony has been executing exceptionally well on the next-gen transition," he added. "Their hardware's hot, they're clear and disciplined and consistent with their policies, they are showing some amazing things with indies, so overall I couldn't be more pleased with how they're executing."
Elsewhere in the interview with CVG, Gibeau assured the company remains "platform-agnostic," while acknowledging the "perceived strategic tilt" is a "messaging error" on his company's part.
