EA will skip E3 again; Announces EA PLAY 2017 dates

So, what's going to be shown

It's only mid-January and it seems we've already entered the "let's wait for E3" time period. EA has announced that they will again be hosting their own event this year, skipping E3 for its own EA PLAY 2017 event.

It will take place at the Hollywood Palladium from Saturday, June 10th – June 12th. No games or times were announced yet of course, but you can sign up for updates on the EA PLAY 2017 site. There are plenty of options that EA can have of course, with its staple game franchises like Madden and FIFA. Three days is a lot of time to fill so what could they possibly show?

Battlefront 2 will most assuredly be shown off in some form seeing as it will release this Autumn. You figure we could always get a look at some DLC for Titanfall 2 or Battlefield 1 as well. There is the Star Wars game from Visceral we know next to nothing about as well as Bioware's mystery project game. Finishing up any new reveals, there is also the EA Originals program that was announced last year at E3. So far, two games in Fe and Sea of Solitude have been revealed by EA with little information so far.

EA usually has a good showing at E3 and last year's event went pretty well. Hopefully, we get something new as well as that always helps the week go a little bit better. I think as long as the Sims stay away from the show we'll be ok, but what do you guys want to see?
