EA Replay for the PSP Ships to Retailers Today
The 90s lives on in a collection of 14 classic
EA titles exclusive to the PSP
Electronic Arts announced that EA Replay, the
company’s first ever compilation of classic console games, will ship to
retailers in North America today and in Europe on December 8 under the EA brand.
Produced by EA Canada in Vancouver, B.C., exclusively for the PSP, this catalog
of 14 EA console favorites from the 90s aims to capture the simple,
button-mashing fun that first hooked players all those years ago.
“We wanted to make a game that was authentic to
EA’s rich history of genre-defining IP,” said David McCarthy, Executive Producer
on the project. “EA Replay is loaded with classic visuals and audio that
perfectly emulates the console gameplay you nostalgically remember, while at the
same time, delivering a cutting-edge, on-the-go gaming experience.”
By bringing original 90s console games to the PSP,
EA Replay rejuvenates the way the classics are played. You can now go
head-to-head with friends in multiplayer on select titles, unlock original game
art, and save your game at any point.
EA Replay’s compilation of celebrated hits gives
you the chance to relive those epic moments that first sparked your gaming
passion on-the-go. Included in the retro catalog are popular franchises such as
the Strike series, Road Rash and Wing Commander. The complete title list is as
follows:
EA Replay will be available exclusively for the
PSP system with an MSRP of $19.99. This game has been rated 12+ by PEGI and T by
the ESRB.
