EA Sports Ships UEFA Champions League
2006-2007

The chance to compete for Europe’s most
prestigious club soccer tournament, the UEFA Champions League, became a reality
after Electronic Arts Inc shipped the official UEFA Champions League™ 2006-2007
videogame to stores around the world today. The event’s only officially licensed
videogame introduces a new way to play the beautiful game on the Xbox 360™ video
game and entertainment system, celebrates the passion soccer fans have for their
club teams, and captures the real life tension as the competition draws to its
dramatic crescendo in May. It is the closest fans can come to experiencing UEFA
Champions League without playing in it.

The Xbox 360 version of the title introduces a
unique and collectable virtual card system in the Ultimate Team mode that
enables you to assemble your ideal team. Using collectable virtual cards, you
can hand-pick everything from your players and staff members to your match
strategy and stadium. Now you can build your dream team by going online to
collect and trade virtual players, staff and gameplay cards.

The official UEFA Champions League 2006-2007
videogame on the Xbox 360 features a game engine with a more fluid player
movement system that makes it easier for players to perform more incisive,
defense-splitting one-twos, first touches and through passes with a ball that’s
alive with its own independent physics and even more responsive to every touch.

Play the official UEFA Champions League 2006-2007
videogame the traditional way on Xbox 360, PlayStation®2 computer entertainment
system, the PSP® (PlayStation® Portable) system, and in Europe on PC and mobile
phones as your favorite club team from qualification right through to a virtual
reproduction of the UEFA Champions League Final. Re-create or customize the
real-world groupings of the official UEFA Champions League tournament by taking
control of a selection of clubs. Plus, the new UEFA Champions League Challenge
option will test even the most hardcore soccer fan by re-creating classic
moments in UEFA Champions League history using modern teams.

Test your management credentials with over 400
objectives to accomplish in The Treble, exclusive to the PlayStation 2, PSP
system and PC versions of the game. As manager of your club you have just one
season to complete the ultimate soccer accomplishment – the treble! With each
mission comes a new challenge as you take your team through the peaks and
valleys of a season packed with league matches, cup ties and an entire UEFA
Champions League campaign. Manage your campaign home and away by transferring
The Treble mode between your PSP system and PlayStation 2. During gameplay
retain your attacking momentum on the PlayStation 2 or PSP system with the
all-new Quick Controls system. Quick free kicks, throw-ins, goal kicks and
corners can be executed on the fly with the press of a button, keeping you on
the pitch and in the action.

UEFA Champions League 2006-2007 will be available
to download to mobile phones across Europe beginning April 6 and enable gamers
to play using a virtual card system similar to that on the Xbox 360.
Specifically designed for mobile, the game’s revolutionary card mechanic allows
gamers to collect cards and control their teams’ destiny from the sidelines.
Gamers use their deck of cards as part of a tactical master plan to action
specific player commands like shoot, pass and tackle, in order to gain points to
unlock and purchase new cards with every win.

The official UEFA Champions League 2006-2007
videogame is available on the Xbox 360, PlayStation 2, PSP system, and in Europe
on PC and mobile phones*. Developed under the EA SPORTS™ brand by EA Canada in
Vancouver, B.C., the game is rated “E” (Everyone) by the ESRB and 3+ by PEGI.

* Mobile version not available in North America.
