Are you a PlayStation Plus subscriber? Do you own InFamous 2? If you answered “yes” to either of those questions, you’ll gain early access to Uncharted 3’s multiplayer beta, which will kick off for you on June 28. Everyone else will be able to access it on July 5.
The beta gives you the chance to explore Uncharted 3’s enhanced mutiplayer experience, which includes the introduction of the three-team deathmatch and free-for-all modes and character customization. Naughty Dog has said that “hundreds of customizable parts” will be available for characters, ranging from clothes to weapons.
Once again, social media will be integrated into an Uncharted game, and Naughty Dog has put even more effort into Uncharted 3’s beta. Both Facebook and YouTube have been added, and you’ll be able to upload videos to either (or both) whenever you please. You’re probably familiar with Naughty Dog’s social media features from Uncharted 2, where its Twitter integration endured a fair share of love and hate.
There’s an extensive breakdown of exactly what you’ll be getting come late June/early July on the PlayStation Blog, so head on over to get your full fix of beta information. Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception launches exclusively on the PlayStation 3 on November 1.
