Earth Defense Force 2025 arrives mid-February

Earth Defense Force 2025 touches down on consoles around the middle of next month, D3Publisher has revealed.

The mature-rated third-person shooter, which Sandlot is developing for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, will launch on Feb. 18. It features online multiplayer with up to four people and offline play for two.

Three downloadable content packs, already out in Japan, are planned as promised. All three will be available as a bundle. More details are below:

  • Special Ops – Will feature five new missions for $3 and be available on Feb. 18.
  • Mutant Rampage – Will feature 20 new missions for $9 and be available on Feb. 25.
  • Beyond Despair – Will feature 20 new missions for $9 and be available on March 11.

EDF 2025 is a follow-up to Earth Defense Force 2017, which first released in North America in 2007 and returned last year as Earth Defense 3 Portable for PlayStation Vita.
