[Edited] God Eater to be censored for Western audience

Edit: The livestream does not clarify which God Eater will be affected by censorship. Both God Eater Ressurection and God Eater 2 are expected to release.

Over the past few months we have seen a number of Japan based developers censoring their games in order to be released in the West. We have seen Fire Emblem Fates get a number of features and scenes removed, R. Mika's taunt removed from Street Fighter 5 and have even seen underwear made bigger in the Western version of Star Ocean 5.

Joining the ever growing list of censored games from Japan is God Eater. When asked during a Bandai Namco livestream if there was anything missing when it comes to the US version, it was revealed that there had been 'slight' changes to keep the game's rating.

"There is a little slight edit here and there, just to make sure that we were able to keep within rating. But, you know, nothing that I think is a glaring omission or anything like that," said God Eater's brand manager Stephen Akana.
