You could very well call him the biggest Elder Scrolls fan in the world after Tyler Kirkham spent $50,000 on remodeling his 1,500 square-foot basement into a recreation of Elder Scrolls’ Old World.
The basement features suits of armour, an alchemy lab, secret doors, and a $15,000 bathroom – equipped with its own waterfall and rock-faced wall.
Kirkham had no qualms with spending anywhere from $100 for a medieval helmet to $20,000 for an in-home cinema. He spent $250 on an Italian crossbow, $8,000 on stone and masonry, and $3,00 on the flooring. Long story short, Kirkham wanted an authentic feel (with modern day luxuries) and had more than enough money to put towards the porject. Kirkham revealed to Barcroft.tv that he was "looking forward to playing Elder Scrolls Online on my Xbox and PS4 – the idea of playing with friends against people who might be a state away, or even a continent away, is amazing to me."
Unfortunately for Kirkham, money can't buy server support for a newly launched MMO. Elder Scrolls Online encountered some issues during today's launch, however, the servers do seem to be more stable now.
