Elder Scrolls Legends dev: ‘We’re getting closer to talking about it’

Closer, it's something at least

The lid has been kept tightly around Bethesda's new game Elder Scrolls Legends and not much is known about it besides the debut trailer that was shown at E3 back in June 2015. The official site doesn't even have anything else besides than that one trailer on it.

According to Bethesda's Pete Hines the game is getting closer to being both talked about and shown.

So the game is not dead or in development limbo!

Elder Scrolls Legends was announced at E3 in 2015 and only a trailer was shown, no gameplay, no cutscenes, no anything. Elder Scrolls Legends appears to be Bethesda's answer to Blizzard's Hearthstone, a card game where players has to build up a deck of cards to beat both AI bosses and real players online. Elder Scrolls Legends will be available on both PC and mobile devices, just like Hearthstone.

Elder Scrolls Legends was supposed to come out sometime in 2015 but was pushed back to 2016. As mentioned earlier the lid has been kept tight, just like they did with Fallout: Shelter that emerged out from nowhere. If Bethesda stays with the strategy they have used for their most recent games, Fallout: Shelter and Fallout 4, we won't get much information about Elder Scrolls Legendes until the game is basically done. And if their past successes in making games is anything to go on then Elder Scrolls Legends will be worth the wait.

Now we just have to wait and see if Elder Scrolls Legends leans more towards Hearthstone or Magic the Gathering, towards casuals or hardcore card gamers.
