Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited gets weekend sale on Steam

If you're looking for something to do this weekend have a couple dollars to spend and have yet to jump into Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited, this weekend could be the weekend you have been waiting for! This weekend ESO: Tamriel Unlimited will be 33% off on Steam.

This means that you can grab the standard version of the game for $40.19 instead of $59.99 and the Imperial Edition for $53.59 instead of $79.99. After the initial payment you won't ever be required to spend more money on the game – there's no required monthly subscription fee.

If you choose to go subscriptionless you will have to pay for any and all upcoming DLC, like the Imperial City DLC that is set to release on August 31st for PC/MAC. If you do choose to pay monthly (again it is not required) you need to sign up for the ESO Plus membership.

Of course, there are benefits to being an ESO Plus member:

  • An allotment of crowns to spend in the new in-game Crown Store based on your membership period (more below)
  • Access to all of ESO’s downloadable content (or DLC) game packs for the duration of your membership
  • A 10% bonus to XP and gold gain, crafting research, and inspiration

Ultimately, it's your choice – pay upfront and never again, go monthly payments (on top of the initial fee for the game) or buy the DLC whenever you damn well please.
