Elite Dangerous Charts a Course For PS4 in 2017

The PC space travel simulator Elite Dangerous from Frontier Developments has finally been announced for PlayStation 4. The game was already released for Xbox One and in Q2 of 2017, PlayStation players will join the space race. The best part is, to make up for the wait they're bringing the full game with all their expansions included.

The best way to describe Elite Dangerous is to call it an immersive space travel/trade/combat simulator. Think No Man's Sky, then beef up the customization and details of items. It's based much more on space stations and trade and is constantly adding features as they go.

The gameplay may not be for everyone, as there are long stretches of nothing but GORGEOUS space, but fast travel is definitely the prettiest time killer ever. Elite Dangerous is gorgeous on PC, and VR capable. There hasn't been word on the VR capabilities of the console versions, but with Frontier Development's push for multiple platforms and focus on constantly expanding their game, VR capabilities for the game would come to no surprise in the near future.
