Last month, Elite Dangerous was announced for Xbox One. Now, Developer Frontier Developments has revealed the official release date. On June 3rd, Elite Dangerous: Horizons will officially launch on Xbox One and feature the first two Horizons expansions, Planetary Landings and The Engineers. The Engineers expansion is also set to land on PC on May 26th.
The expansions will unlock a some new features including 1:1 scale planets to explore, surface bases to raid, new mission opportunities, new loot and crafting opportunities, and the high-speed SRV Surface Recon Vehicle.
Elite Dangerous is also set to undergo its biggest free update ever on May 26th alongside The Engineers expansion PC release. The update will bring a new mission system, collectable loot as well as a bunch of gameplay additions and tweaks. Xbox One players will get Private Group play and fully customizable controls.
Elite Dangerous will also have a new price point as it will now retail for $29.99 on all platforms, or $59.99 if you want the main game plus the DLC.
