Yesterday, the folks over at Frontier Developments announced that Elite: Dangerous, the highly ambitious and extremely gorgeous space sim will be coming to the Xbox One later this year. That, in an of itself, is great news. The more people that get to play this fantastic game, the better. However, not everyone was happy about this announcement, namely Sony fans.
Turns out, Elite: Dangerous is just a timed exclusive and will in fact be making its way to other platforms, like the PS4 as well as Mac.
David Braben, the founder of Frontier, took to Twitter and dispelled the exclusivity allegations:
Since it will be coming to the PS4, it's not out of the question to assume that it will also support Sony's Project Morpheus, their proprietary VR headset that will be compatible with a range of titles on the PS4. Especially since Elite: Dangerous already supports the Oculus Rift on PC.
