Elusive Kirby Wii game heading to Wii U eShop

Collectors of first-party Wii games know well that several out-of-print titles from Nintendo's catalogue go for high prices due to their rarity. Kirby's Return to Dream Land is one of those difficult-to-find Wii games. So seeing it come to the Wii U eShop is a godsend (granted, it may mean nothing to true collectors).

As of today's eShop update, Kirby fans can purchase Kirby's Return to Dream Land for $19.99 US/$24.99 CDN, which is a drastic difference from what you'd normally find the game for on eBay (on average $50 or more). It joins Super Mario Galaxy 2, Metroid Prime Trilogy and Punch-Out!! as the fourth Wii retail game to appear on the Wii U eShop. The game's release is actually part of Nintendo's celebration for Kirby's anniversary on Saturday, August 1, with the goodie bag also featuring Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards and Kirby Squeak Squad as new additions to the Virtual Console service.

When Nintendo teased they were bringing three of Kirby's titles to the eShop, Canvas Curse seemed like a sure thing, so Kirby's Return to Dream Land is a pleasant surprise.
