Septipus: Tentacle Apocalypse is now available on the Xbox Live Marketplace, and it presents a weirder than average plot, even for a video game.
According to the developer, "Septipus: Tentacle Apocalypse is a story based arcade style indie game, taking place inside the lair of Septipus, an effeminate seven legged squid whose quest for a moustache leads him to ransack the nearby town of Follicles."
Players set out to defeat the troublesome sea creature as Smiley, a steroid-raging hero who's assisted by an "Obi-wan-Kanobiesque companion" named Bumper. The game contains 27 levels, excluding the boss battle, and provides four levels of difficulty.
Soulfire Software released the game on Tuesday. It costs 80 Microsoft Points ($1).
