We've known for a while now that Enter the Dominatrix — the once-planned DLC for Saints Row: The Third — will instead return as downloadable content for Saints Row 4. But it won't launch as day-one DLC; rather, developer Volition has confirmed the game's first add-on will launch within 45 days of Saints Row 4's August release.
During the Saints Row 4 Comic-Con panel, it was revealed that Enter the Dominatrix will play out like a mockumentary starring the game's cast as they jokingly discuss why the expansion concept was cut and re-purposed into a full-fledged game release. Jaros also explained that the original planned ending for Saints Row 4 was a Bollywood-style song and dance routine. Unfortunately, the three-minute scene, which would have featured planned choreography, was scrapped after the motion capture team discovered how expensive and difficult the routine would be to include.
“The stars didn’t line up,” Jaros said, but “the spirit of the Bollywood dance number happens and it is poetry in motion. It is so good.”
Hopefully we see some sort of nod to this routine in the Enter the Dominatrix DLC. Saints Row 4 is due out on PS3, Xbox 360, and PC on August 20th.
