Epic Games hiring competitive players for its ‘newest, unannounced IP’

Developer Epic Games, best known for its Gears of War franchise, today posted a job listing for QA testers on a currently unannounced IP.

The listing specifically calls for “hard-core, competitive gamers with a high ranking in an online game,” with a preference for applicants with experience in streaming games and MLG play. “You will be part of a small group that spends each day playing together competitively,” it reads.

Ordinarily, the logical assumption would be that Epic is shoring up the homefront for its upcoming Unreal Tournament. Given this IP’s apparent newness, however, it’s right to assume the studio has yet another competitive title in the works.

The listing does not specify a genre, such as MOBA or FPS, so the mystery title could easily be either, though a fighting game shouldn’t be ruled out.
