Start the weekend by treating yourself to something nice. And what could be nicer than a free game? How about three free games? That’s exactly what Epic has shared today. Starting July 9th, you’ll be able to claim Killing Floor 2, Lifeless Planet, and The Escapists 2 via the Epic Games Store. Today, you can grab Hue!
The Epic Games Store has long become a heated topic among PC gamers for various reasons. A lack of features compared to industry leader Steam are on one side, while the aggressive timed-exclusivity deals that pull away new games from Steam are on the other. And while those can and are debated to ad nauseum, one thing that Epic has been doing is without a doubt great. Giving free games.
Ever since its inception in late 2018, Epic has been trying to vie over PC gamers by regularly giving away games for absolutely free. These range from niche indies to the biggest of AAA titles and have netted users a respectable library of quality games in the past 1½ years.
At the moment, EGS users can claim the charming puzzle-platformer Hue. Initially, the popular multiplayer-survival game Conan Exiles was supposed to be given as well but for undisclosed reasons that deal was cancelled in the last minute.
But Epic is making up for it by giving away three games in the next round, taking place between July 9th – July 16th. With the ultra-brutal Killing Floor 2, fans of co-op first-person shooters ought to be satiated. Indie adventure game Lifeless Planet and humorous strategy-action title The Escapists 2 round up the gift package.
