Though Escape Goat 2 was first released on PC, developer MagicalTimeBean admits it was designed to be a "couch-and-controller experience." To that end, the indie developer has announced that the puzzle platformer is coming to PlayStation 4.
According to developer Ian Stocker, the theme of Escape Goat 2 is "transformation." As you manipulate hidden machinery in the game, walls move around and blocks settle into new places. By the time you're finished, the room will look completely different. And helping you with this transformation, is your trusty mouse. Working as a team, you'll send your companion up over walls and through tiny passages; use him to operate remote switches and distract enemies.
Oh, and if you are wondering why Goat wants to escape, it's because he's on a rescue mission to save his sheep friends who are forced asleep by a strange force.
Escape Goat 2 is already available on Steam, but will be coming to PS4 later this year. There are currently no plans to bring its predecessor, Escape Goat, to Sony's new system but Stocker does say it's "totally possible from a technical standpoint."
