Etrian Odyssey 4 is the first entry in the role-playing game series since 2010, and it's the first one to appear on the 3DS, Nintendo's latest handheld.
Atlus has added an adjustable difficulty setting to appease players wary of the series' notoriously punishing gameplay. It's still hard, just not as brutally tough as usual.
The game holds an 84-out-of-100 rating on Metacritic.
