Etrian Odyssey Untold demo available now on 3DS eShop

A demo for Etrian Odyssey Untold: The Millennium Girl is now available for download on the Nintendo 3DS eShop.

The role-playing game — a remake of the original with two modes — launches on October 1. The demo contains a taste of the series-first story mode, including two floors of the main dungeon and the first floor of a new dungeon. Progress will carry over to the full game.

The story mode features five premade characters and is an expansion on the original game. Classic mode's traditional gameplay is more for series veterans and uses the kind of modern conveniences that Atlus introduced with Etrian Odyssey 4 early this year. It also introduces the Grimoire Stone system, which enables players to develop their party's skills and learn new ones from enemies.
