Blizzard isn't the only one hitting botters with the ban hammer in games anymore, CCP Games has joined in on the bot hunting in EVE Online.
CCP took to the forums to reveal their update on multiboxing and input automation policies (otherwise known as botting or macroing).
Either way you look at it, multiboxing and input automation means that you're not techinically playing the game, a computer program is. So, in light of this, CCP is bringing in a two-strike policy that starts in 30 days. The first strike will result in a month long bad, the second strike will result in a permanent ban from the game. However, it should be noted that not all multiboxing and input automation will result in bans. If you're using automated services for EVE Online's client settings, window positions/arrangements on your Eve Online Client, or the login process — you'll be fine.
Again, the change in policy will take into effect January 1st, 2015.
